I am sure you are asking what is HOBACHAGOTCHA and what does it have to do with Rosarito Beach?  Well, it is a good question and one that I am pretty sure I will not be able to answer.

I think I might have been to HOBACHAGOTCHA once when our client Andrew invited us over to his amazing oceanfront community for a party with his friends.  It is a small community with just a few homes that have private access to an amazing sandy beach.

The people that were at the party reminded me of a time long ago when life was more about getting together with friends and barbecuing, drinking, laughing, singing and telling jokes. A simpler time.

You could smell the carne asada barbecuing and there seemed to be no shortage of margaritas and beer.
The weather was perfect just like it is most of the time here in Rosarito Beach, and the view to the ocean was spectacular.  It is hard to describe, but I just had a good feeling being there…the energy was amazing…it was warm, peaceful and fun.

The people at the party were so down to earth and welcoming and all of them had seemed to have completely embraced the lifestyle.

So maybe HOBACHAGOTCHA is a lifestyle?

Maybe there is more to HOBACHAGOTCHA then just this small community they live in…Maybe HOBACHAGOTCHA is a state of mind and lifestyle that these lucky individuals have been able to find and enjoy here in Rosarito beach.

HOBACHAGOTCHOne thing I do know is all of these people seemed to be very aware of how special this place is.  They didn’t talk about or brag about it they just seemed to be living it and enjoying it.

I have not been back to Andrew's since the party, but I have become a fan of Andrew and his videos.  He has really embraced the lifestyle that we all dream about when we think about living in Mexico.  Fun in the sun!

This is one of my favorite videos that Andrew posted on YouTube…it puts a smile on my face every time I watch it.   I hope you enjoy the video as much as I do, he did a really great job on it.

From what I can tell the video was mostly shot in Rosarito Beach and the surrounding area with a few shots of the Wine Valley in Ensenada.

If you are ever down here in Rosarito and you see Andrew driving around in his white buggy, you might just want to ask him what HOBACHAGOTCHA means.
