 -  What are you looking for in a lot on which you can build? Obviously location is important, as they say, location, location and location! Of course security is very important, the upkeep of the property, resell value, and any extras that add value to the property, like say a Marina?

You can go into any development and find the same options. You might find a beach but you might not; there are not a lot of nice sandy beaches like the one you will find in La Salina. The ocean view, paved streets with buried utilities, a community pool and maybe a work out place. And this is the extent of most of them.

But none of the developments can boast what you get in La Salina, all the above and a very nice Marina to moor your boat at or to launch your boat into the water. If you look at the location of the development, it is an excellent location, almost exactly in the middle of Rosarito and Ensenada, nestled in among some of the nicest mountains, yet pretty flat where the property is. It has a naturally created lake also from the water run off from the mountains, where you will actually find ducks and cranes . May sound funny to you if you come from a place like the Midwest like I did, where there are many ducks and cranes, but when you see them, you realize you never see them anywhere else down here. Just one more thing to add to the list of why La Salina.

On top of this, you have the best security of any development we go to. Do not be surprised if when you go see the lots if they do not let you in. If you are a visitor,they really check you out good and do not let you in unless they verify everything that needs to be verified, somewhat of a lengthy process. Yet they are always very kind and helpful at the same time, the best at what they do.

Lets discuss the beach here, usually on the top of the list as a must. You would think there would be a long beach up and down the coast line, but actually you find there is not much beach front property at all, mostly rocky cliff areas. Not so in La Salina, the beach from here is mostly private as no one ever comes onto it except the owners. But this beach runs for miles, further than you would care to walk, and very wide. One of the best stretches of beach around. And one of the few with ocean front and ocean view lots to buy in.

And as you can see from the pictures the streets are wide and paved, lined with palm trees, utilities are buried... All the normal of a top notch development!

Let’s talk resell for a minute. First on lots! The development did a very good job of marketing the properties as they have only a few left to sell, therefor you do not have to worry about a lot of competition to deal with. You will also find there are a few resells, but again not 100’s driving prices down.

Second point on properties holding their value, you will find on the web page some amazing very large homes listed for dirt cheap prices, where the owner is loosing their shirt in reselling it, why? Back to location location location! Yes the lots in La Salina tend to be a little higher than some of the other developments, but for good reason, all the above reasons. Because of this it also keeps the resell higher, as it cost the same to build a 2,000 or 10,000 sq ft home here in La Salina or on the cheapest lot you can buy. However when you try to resell it, that is when you find out how wise you were on the lot and location you choose.

The nice thing about this particular location and price is you have excellent views of the harbor and ocean, with one of the best prices in the development. Really a lot to put on the list of must sees!
