Tourists Continue to be Duped by Baja's Hotel California
We mentioned that sometimes, given our watchdog role in the hotel industry, we have to report on the bad and the ugly as well as the good. Well, consider the Hotel California in Todos Santos, Mexico officially in the doghouse.
We didn’t spend the night on this particular trip, but we sure did our homework. This gripe is not about the quality of service or its award-winning decor, rather it is moreso with the fact that the hotel is famous for no reason whatsoever.
Its reputation is driven by false claims by former owners and managers that the classic rock band The Eagles had stayed at the hotel and written the infamous song, “Hotel California.” And it's total crap.
