Is The U.S. Media Exaggerating The Problems In Mexico So You Won’t Leave The U.S.?
“Dire warnings of fiscal calamity” says Schwarzenegger
HigherTaxes, Layoffs and unemployment, Foreclosure epidemic, Schools being closed down, Children without school supplies, Broken Healthcare system... and they say this is just the beginning.
Where am I talking about? Who would want to live in such a place? I am talking about California!! I am not happy to write about this because I grew up in California and most of my family and friends still live there. But as you can see from this Reuters news article things are getting bad there and are probably going to get worse. Link to Reuters article.
I wonder sometimes if all the extraordinary bad press that Mexico gets is to deflect from the real problems that are happening in the U.S.
It has to make you think...
I was emailed some links the other day and was asked by a client why we never hear of any travel warning to:
Los Angeles http://www.latimes.com/news/local/crime/homicidemap/
Chicago http://chicago.everyblock.com/crime/by-primary-type/homicide/
New Orleans http://www.cityrating.com/citycrime.asp?city=New+Orleans&state=LA
And so on and so on.......
I think that is a good question and I think the next time you hear the U.S. media screaming about Mexico, you should ask yourself what is going onin the U.S. that they don’t want you to look at.
