A short drive South of Club Marena is the town of Puerto Nuevo. The town is renowned for its many restaurants serving famous Puerto Nuevo style lobster. Walk around the open-air markets, bargain for beautiful Mexican silver jewelry, shop for souvenirs, or just stop by for a margarita. The people are friendly and welcoming. Puerto Nuevo holds many festivals during the year.

Go Whale Watching
From January to March, thousands of California Gray Whales pass Club Marena on their migration route to calving grounds in the Sea of Cortez. Their primary feeding grounds are the Bering, Chukchi and Beaufort seas of Alaska and Siberia. In just two months the whales cover the 5,000 mile trip from Alaska to the Baja lagoons. During their migration you'll frequently spot them from your balcony. |
