Assisted Living in Mexico has become a viable option for many retirees in the U.S. With baby-boomers reaching retirement age in the very near future, Mexico will become the best option for them because of low cost and the quality of care. The quality of care that can be provided in Mexico will be superior to the United States because the work force in Mexico is very dedicated and there is a compassion that can be found in the Mexican culture that will ensure that patients will be very well attended. The Asociancion Mexicana de Asistencia en el Retiro (AMAR) is the Mexican Association for Assisted Living that is a non-profit organization focused on providing quality of life for seniors planning on retiring in Mexico. Mexican organizations have sprung up to meet the current and future demands of thousands of retirees that will move to Mexico in the next decade and require assisted living facilities. The cost of assisted living and nursing home care in Mexico can be as little as 20% of the cost of the same care in the U.S.
